State Attorney John F. Durrett announces that on November 30, 2023, Terry Lee Humphrey was found guilty by a Hamilton County jury of Count 1 – Sexual Battery by a Person in Familial or Custodial Authority, Count 2 – Lewd or Lascivious Battery: Penetration or Union, Count 3 – Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a Child, Count 4 – Lewd or Lascivious Conduct: Solicitation, and Count 5 – Lewd or Lascivious Exhibition.
Mr. Humphrey was sentenced on December 14, 2023 to Count 1 – Life; Count 2 – Life, concurrent to count 1; Count 3 – Life, concurrent to count 2; Count 4 – 22.475 years, consecutive to count 3; and Count 5 – 22.475 years, consecutive to count 4. Mr. Humphrey was designated as a sexual predator. Mr. Humphrey was a nine-time convicted felon.
The Defendant committed numerous acts involving sexual activity with a child victim over a period of years while the child victim was 12-15 years of age. The State of Florida was represented by Assistant State Attorneys Carey D. Carmichael, Jr. and Travis Munden. The Honorable Melissa G. Olin conducted the sentencing.
