State Attorney John F. Durrett announces that Larry Marshall Worley, Jr., was found guilty by a jury of Sexual Battery Under Special Circumstances; Abuse of a Disabled Adult; and Incest. With this conviction, Larry Marshall Worley, Jr., faces a sentence of up to forty years in the Department of Corrections. The Honorable Mark Feagle will formally sentence Larry Marshall Worley, Jr., at a sentencing hearing scheduled on June 8, 2023, at 1:30 p.m.
The Jury determined that the Defendant sexually battered his adult, biological daughter, who suffers from both mental health diagnoses as well as intellectual disability, over a span of multiple years. During the course of this abuse, the victim became pregnant and delivered an infant that was suffering from severe birth defects and died approximately four months later.
The case was investigated by the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office headed by lead investigator, Kim Lane, and was prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney, Melissa K. Blackwell.
