The State Attorney’s Office along with members of the Columbia County Clerk Of Court’s Office played in the annual Boots and Badges charity basketball tournament. Chase Larsen, Michael Pope, Garrett Hill, and Colin Klein participated on Saturday August 12,2023, where they defeated the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Team and the Lake City Police Department Team to take the championship. Both games were close matches, and it was an exciting time for the office and the participants. Mr. Durrett was able to be present for the games and was quoted as saying “I am dang proud of those boys, they played like a true team and it was exciting to watch”. The State Attorney’s Office is looking forward to defending the championship in 2024.
