State Attorney John Durrett announces that on Monday September 18, 2023, Garrett Stavely was sworn in as the newest Assistant State Attorney in the 3rd Judicial Circuit. Garrett has been working in the 3rd circuit as a legal intern and was sworn in after receiving notice that he passed the Spring 2023 Florida Bar exam.
Garrett is a graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Tampa. He is also a graduate of Saint Leo University where he received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology. Garrett is lifelong resident of Baker County. He previously worked at the Baker County Clerk of Courts as a felony clerk before making the decision to pursue law school and become a prosecutor. Garrett will be working in the misdemeanor and criminal traffic division in Columbia County. We are proud to have him on our team!
